The Obafemi Awolowo University has been chosen to be the host of the 42nd Annual Conference of the Soil Science Society of Nigeria tagged “Ibadan 2018”.
The team for this conference will be “Sustainable Management of Soil and Water Resources for Food Security, Climate Change Adaptation and Mitigation”.
The sub themes include;
- Trend in Soil Survey, Classification and Land Evaluation for Effective Land Use
- Integrated Soil Fertility Management
iii. Sustainable Soil and Water Conservation for Enhanced Soil Productivity
- Environmental Soil Chemistry and Biotechnology
- Soil Analytical Tools and Techniques for Soil Research Integrity
- Mitigation and Adaptation Strategies for Climate Change
The 42nd annual Soil Science Society of Nigeria Conference on Sustainable Management of Soil and Water Resources for Food Security, Climate Change Adaptation and Mitigation aims to bring together academic scientists, researchers and research scholars to exchange and share their experiences and research results on all aspects of Sustainable Management of Soil and Water Resources in relation to Food Security, Climate Change Adaptation and Mitigation.
It also provides a premier interdisciplinary platform for researchers, practitioners and educators in soils, food science, human nutrition and health to present and discuss the most recent innovations, trends, and concerns as well as practical challenges encountered and solutions adopted in the fields of Soil and Water Management, Food Security, and Climate Change.

Call for Papers
All distinguished authors are kindly encouraged to contribute and help shape the conference through submissions of their abstracts, papers and posters. High quality research contributions describing original and unpublished results of conceptual, constructive, empirical, experimental, or theoretical work in all areas of Sustainable Management of Soil and Water Resources for Food Security, Climate Change Adaptation and Mitigationare cordially invited for presentation at the conference.
Submission of Abstract Closes – 31st November, 2017
Any submission received later than the above date will not be published in the Book of Abstracts.
Submission of E-copy of full length paper closes – 31st December, 2017.

- Each of the corresponding authors whose articles are accepted for presentation will be notified and consequently be expected to a total of ₦10,000 as page charges as well as bring to the conference three (3) hard copies of the manuscript and a softcopy in a CD.
